- Oliver Miller

Oliver Miller is another one on the comeback trail. His career seemed to have ended in the 2004/05 season, which he split between a couple of ABA teams. He reappeared in lat 2006 as player/coach of the short lived Arkansas RiverCatz (it's cooler if you spell team names wrong!), and then nothing came after that. But this season, he reappeared in a different minor league, the PBL. Miller signed in the preseason with the Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry, a team coached by Micheal Ray Richardson (it's cooler if you spell your own name wrong!), but he was released without playing a game. Miller then went to Puerto Rico to try to get work, but couldn't, and came home again. He was picked up again by the Cavalry in mid March when former Utah State forward Shawn Daniels went to play in the Philippines, and Miller has appeared in 4 games with the team. He has averaged 2.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 3.0 fouls in 13.8 minutes per game. That's a very bizarre stat line.

Oliver Miller turned 40 on Tuesday.

Oliver Miller - Miller made a comeback last year, catching on with two different PBL teams. After unsuccessful tryouts in Puerto Rico, he did not play anywhere this year, and this very day he made headlines after pistol-whipping someone at a barbecue.

A fight over a barbecue. How else was Oliver Miller going to get arrested?

Oliver Miller - On the very day that the previous post was made, Miller was arrested for pistol whipping his girlfriend's brother after an argument at a barbecue. It made the post as an edited addendum. Miller was sentenced to a year in jail for the incident, and served six months. It's not known what he's done since his release, but this doesn't sound good.

Note: Non-US teams that the player has played for are, unless stated otherwise, from the top division in that nation. If a league or division name is expressly stated, it's not the top division. The only exceptions to this are the rare occasions where no one league is said to be above the other, such as with the JBL/BJ League split in Japan.
