Alongside that incoming duo, the incumbent Giannis Bourousis remains, intimidating any opposing guard who dare drive at him, throwing his weight around on the class, rebounding prolifically, making layups, and sticking his threes. Challenge him at your peril. Behind him, former Timberwolves draft pick Loukas Mavrokefalidis provides some smooth, fluid, unspectacular scoring ability, as does 7 footer (and another former NBA draft pick) Andreas Glyniadakis, who has moves, touch, finesse, and absolutely no speed.

Loukas Mavrokefalidis (57th pick, 2006)

- A brief mention of Mavrokefalidis could be found in the recent Euroleague round-up. He plays quite a significant role for Olympiakos, and averaged 8.4 points and 4.0 rebounds in their Euroleague campaign. Mavro has a mid-range jumpshot, runs the court well for a guy of his size, is not unathletic (although I wouldn't go as far as to call him athletic), is a good passer, and defends physically, if not especially effectively. In the past couple of seasons, he has made some progress, after a couple of years of limited progress.

- Loukas Mavrokefalidis

Timberwolves draft pick Luke Maverick was bought by Olympiakos from Maroussi this summer, as Olympiakos sought to meet their quota of Greek nationals. (He was born in the Czech Republic, but has represented Greece at junior levels.) Mav doesn't play much for Oly, playing only 124 Euroleague minutes all season and usually appearing in AI games only after the rout is on (which is quite often), but he's scored well in his limited time. Mavrokefalidis averages 6.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in 10mpg in the Euroleague, alongside 7.7 and 2.6 in 13 minutes per game in the Greek league. But he also has 61 total fouls in 331 total minutes, a foul every 5.4 minutes, or 6.6 fouls per 36 minutes. Not ideal.

Note: Non-US teams that the player has played for are, unless stated otherwise, from the top division in that nation. If a league or division name is expressly stated, it's not the top division. The only exceptions to this are the rare occasions where no one league is said to be above the other, such as with the JBL/BJ League split in Japan.
