Shakur has yet to play in the NBA, but is technically a two year veteran after brief stints with the Kings and Thunder. Watkins can do slightly better than that, boasting a total of 71 minutes played with the Kings back in the 2007/08 season. New Orleans needs some backup size and some interior defense, which Watkins provides. He is not much of an offensive player, but rebounds and blocks shots in the way you want your centre to do. Unfortunately for Darryl, he missed all of last season through injury, which has killed his stock somewhat. He never played for any team, in fact, and has missed the entire season. When healthy, Watkins is a good shot blocker and capable finisher, who tends to struggle with turnovers. And fouls. And plantar fasciitis.

Note: Non-US teams that the player has played for are, unless stated otherwise, from the top division in that nation. If a league or division name is expressly stated, it's not the top division. The only exceptions to this are the rare occasions where no one league is said to be above the other, such as with the JBL/BJ League split in Japan.
